Read.Us is a host for niche sites – a Niche Site Library, providing a source for visitors to find focused information on specific topics. For those wanting to create their own niche sites with us, it’s a 3 step process:

1) Reserve a name that describes your niche. It will be a subdomain name such as your-nichesite.Read.Us 

2) Use nearly any web hosting service you like to create your website – it just needs to support CNAME / A record addressing to point your site from your web hosting service to your-nichesite.Read.Us  (Read.Us takes care of this, you just need to ensure your hosting provider has this option – most do. We list many in our Private Community, or contact us to check on any others)

3) When your site is ready for the world to see – submit a Help Desk Request to us to activate it on the main https://Read.Us website

We will have some “incentives” going on in the near future which will be tied to the email address(es) of each niche site here on Read.Us – At this point there are not any plans for any cash payments, it will be more of a tracking of your niches sites sending referrals back to the main https://Read.Us site which in turn helps promote everyone else’s niche site. So, having multiple sites with the same signup email address will increase your numbers (if you have links on your site back to us – which is not required) and get you more goodwill and incentives from us. It’s a Win-Win-Win for everyone! 

The goodwill may get you more mentions more often in our blogs and other social media platforms, possible discount coupons for renewals or what would be otherwise paid services, some bling, or anything else that may be of benefit to you or your site(s). 

Subscribing to a plan includes a 1 time update to DNS Records to activate your site as a Read.Us subdomain with your niche name – included in your plan

Included, if needed, 1 time custom DNS MX Records for those that need specific 3rd Party email services. 

THAT’S IT – NO ADDITIONAL RECURRING FEES!

If you need to change hosting providers, or change email providers after the initial setup or need any other DNS changes there will be a small fee – currently $29 each. 

Over time additional services / features may be made available which may require a payment but would not be required to continue with use of your site. We’re here to provide as much as we can under your yearly plan costs. 

YES you can!! 

The hosting of your site will usually be using a service other than ours and will have to be taken care of separately, but as far as transferring your nichename.Read.Us site to someone else, that’s fine. We understand that some people in the niche site space build these sites as a profitable business and sell them to someone else once they are established and generating followers and revenue. We prefer to use the term “transfer” on our end, because a subdomain name cannot be “owned” by anyone other than the holder of the primary domain name. There will be a small fee to change the information on our end, grant community access to the new person, and revoke access from the original holder.

In general we will support niche sites under the Read.Us domain for nearly any topic so long as it is lawful, and content would be considered of use to the general public with a rating of PG-13 or below. No illegal drugs, nudity, slander or other content that would be considered offensive. 

We ask that you be kind and considerate in our Private Forums as well as our other social media platforms.   Failure to do so will result in your removal, muting or removal from those platforms. If you see something you don’t like – just scroll on by – or report it to us for review. 

We do not offer refunds. You may cancel at any time and your site will remain active with us until your current subscription period ends. 

If you are unsure of the power and potential of niche sites, then this may not be for you.

If you then decide to create your own niche site, you can change your niche site name to anything still available before committing to a longer-term plan and going live.
